Chicken Pox

Little boy friend's 4th birthday is around the corner, will ordering jelly cake for him to celebrate at Little Lighthouse. He was vacillating whether to choose Mario or Pikachiu. Pikachiu still hes favourate.

Today, thought of placing order, but since he keeps changing mind, so is better to order tonight after double confirm with him.

As usual, went and fetch him at Mrs.Ngo house. She asked me to check on the red spot on Isaac's body.... Oh my god... things just happened coincidently... he got chicken pox :( As we know, chicken pox takes at least a week to recover, by the time, school holiday starts, how to celebrate for him at kindi? And I have all the party pack ready. He will definately disappointed, but I am 100 times more disappointed than him. I want all the children to pray for him and sing him birthday song during assembly, I want him to give the party pack himself... in short, I just want to give him a sweet memory before leaving the kindi, as he will no longer study in that kindi.

Yes, Doctor, I want to bring him to doctor, see can help to faster the recovering. It is almost 9pm, the pediatric close at 9:30pm. I called to the clinic, asked to wait for me, then drove all the way from Ampang to Sri Petaling. Reached there 5min before they pull down the grill (^_^).

It's too late for injection, what the doctor can do is, gives him medicine to reduce ichiness and as i wish, faster the process. According to doctor, it will takes about 5 days to recover... i think should be able to meet up his friends before school holiday starts... Yippie...

Thank god, Isaac's chicken pox is not that much, and it really dried up very fast, about 2 days. People said, when it starts to dry, it would be the most suffering, it's gonna be extremly itchy... What people say is true, he couldn't sleep for the whole 2nd night. Keep telling me very itchy, asked to scratch for him without breaking his chicken pox... pity boy...

After that night, everything seems OK. Isaac handled it quite well, not making much noice or keep crying... good job :)

Here are some photo of his chicken pox after x day...

Picnic at Waterfall

Each time reading 'The Nature' book, I can only tell Isaac what is waterfall, how it looks like. Althought he nodded, but I believe that he cannot imagine. I have the thought to bring Isaac to waterfall, it is better to see for oneself rather than to hear for many times, agree? So I list 'Picnic at Waterfall' as one of my outing activity. A cheap family activity yet everyone enjoy, why not right?

If you wish to get closer to the nature, understand the nature, talk to the nature, waterfall is always an idea place. It is claimed as the place which has the highest natural ionizer.

After a family discussion, we decided to go Rawang waterfall instead of Ulu Yam. How lucky we are, the weather was just nice for outing, with the sun shinning up in the sky. Attached photos can tell how fun was it. Everyone enjoy the outing. Thanks YiYi for recommanding such good place.

There is another waterfall up there where most of the people will not go as need to walk a distance. Luckily we have 'Storm' to bring us up. To get down to the waterfall, we need a rope, and Ah Chiung (Uncle) has everything prepared. Such an adventure outing :P The place is shaded by trees and we occupied the whole area.

Everyone was hungry when think of Kakak's speciality - fried meehoon and YiYi's fried chicken. Besides, we have nuggets, sausages, sandwiches and ribena.

Reading newspaper with fresh air blowing on the face is so relaxing. Kids have fun building sand castle.

Isaac enjoy riding on the float.

The water splashed on our body, is like a nature jacuzzi.

Ohh... Ah Siang GuGu knows how to enjoy the nature so much. He took a short nap!!!!

1st Merdeka Parade

Ring.... Ring.... Ring.... Ohh gosh..... it's time to wake up. "Baby.... wake up lor... let's go to watch the Merdeka parade". Thought he will laze around for few minutes, but no, he woke up immediately after hearing the word 'Merdeka'.... :) On the way to LRT station, he double confirmed I didn't forget his flag and cap.

It is 7am, the station was full of passengers, all towards a destination - Merdeka Square. As expected, both road sides were full of crowd, mostly Malay, follow by Indian and tourist. You will hardly see Chinese in this kind of event or celebration. We found a good place under a big tree. Weather was cloudy but fortunately not rainy day.

Malaysia 51st Independent Day. When 'NegaraKu' song was played, Isaac follow everyone stand straight and sang loudly (He sings NegaraKu everyday in kindergarten). During Beijing Olympic, I did explain to Isaac when a country song is played, everyone has to stand staight to show thier respect to the country. "Merdeka... Merdeka... Merdeka..." Everyone in high spirits. Isaac didnt want to left behind, he shouted loudly with his hand raising high :)

Finally the marching starts. Band from few high school and association, various type of tank with all soldiers in green face, fireman & fire engine, air jet performance.... Badminton champion - Lee Chong Wei joined the parade too. Isaac waved his hand excitedly when seeing Lee Chong Wei. Malaysia 1st astronaut - Dr Faiz Khaleed was there too...

The parade took about two hours. Again, the LRT station was packed will people. We managed to squeeze in and reached home tiredly....

1st Exam Paper

What a surprise right, 4 years old kids have to sit for exam. Take it easy, it's just a check point to know how well your kid can absorb what is being taught so far. Little Lighthouse 1st term exam was held from 20th - 23rd May. Before the exam, I did some revision with Isaac, overall OK.

After his first paper, I asked him how was it, is he able to do it. He answered me 'Yes', he did use brain to think, more draw to more, less draw to less... kekeke... I then asked him, "Did you look at people's answer?" He told me, "Teacher said cannot see people's answer, later people get wrong, then we also wrong."... hahaha....

He got back his exam paper... Jennifer Yi Yi bought hem a Pingu pencil set as a reward. Mummy brought him to Cameron Highland as an encouragement... :)

WRITING Test

Write your name

This mid-term holiday, kindergarten homework is to write your English name. Since is a one week holiday, I allowed you to finish it within 2 days. First day, it took me about 40 minutes to guide you and second day worst, took me about an hour.

Everytime when come to homework time, I will nag you for not writting nicely, not within the line, not tidy. Looking at your innocent face, mummy really feel bad for giving you such pressure, you are just an almost 4 years old kid and this is your first year in kindi. But I have no choice, why is teacher giving such difficult homework? At first, i don't really emphasize on good writting, but I found that it will soon become a habit. Please don't angry mummy for givng you such pressure, it would be better to train you from young rather than force you to change after you have get use of it.

Looking at your writting, I am actually quite satisfied. You write so well. Compare with your first few alphabert writting, can obviously see the improvement.

Well Done son... Keep it up... Mummy is proud of you... muuakkk...

Isaac & Music

April 2007, I registered Isaac to Music Kids Course at Ammonite Music Center Sri Petaling (Franchise of Yamaha Music). This is a course specially designed to make child's initial encounter with music education fun and enjoyable. It combines the dynamism of music with physical and mental activities to stimulater thier musical senses and prepare them for the varieties of music education ahead.

This is a nine months course, overall, I think the course is qutie fun. They have year end performance, let me share some photo with you...

Isaac further his music by joining Junior Music Course (JMC). From the age of 4, child's sense of hearing, finger muscles and vocal cords develop most rapidly. This course main objective is to develop fundamental musical ability by learning to sing with do-re-mi and with lyrics, and to play on keyboard instruments. Emphasis is placed on listening because aural ability develops fastest in this period.

Like MusicKids, JMC offers group education and parental participation - the most ideal style of learning for young children. Child cultivates a sprit of co-operation, harmony and a sense of discipline, while enjoying a musical experiences with friends.

Some parent might think it is quite troublesome as you need to spend an hour with the child on those notes which you also not familiar. I quite enjoy this, as it also beneficial to me, at least i know some basic of music, I know whether Isaac is playing correctly... hehe... pay for one, but two person learn, why not right?

Each book takes 6 months to complete. Isaac is now in book (2). Every six month (end of a book), they will have a mini performance & party. This round, he has sole playing with song - Going on a Picnic.

An incident happened during the performance, which I must share with you. As usual, teacher asked all children stand around the piano, she started playing and children sang according to the note. Excellent job, they can sing so well. Teacher then asked parent to sing. Believe or not, none of the parent can sing, all the notes like giving same sound. We attended the class together, but why we cannot sing? This is because our hearing is not as sharp as children at this stage.... kekeke...

1st movie in cinema ...

Waiting for 'BATMAN' movie for quite some time. Finally a cartoon film 'Kung Fu Panda' is shown in cinema. Can't wait to grab this opportunity to bring Isaac to experience watching movie in cinema. This cartoon film has two languages, we choosen cantonese version so that we adult can also enjoy it... haha :)

I think I am more excited than him, keep reminding him cannot talk in the cinema, people will enjoy the movie by eating pop corn with coke. We let him know movie will be played with all lights off so that he won't get shock and shout.

Five of us (including his cousins - Samantha & Jonas, and also his Ah Jiong) reached Mid Valley half an hour before the show. The queue was so long, but luckily we bought online ticket, if not, sure disappoint all the kids. We did not forget to get a set of pop corn + coke. Isaac requested a twisty.A movie that you cannot missed, everyone laughs from beginning until the end. Here is the plot of this movie, you might not interested in reading it, but it's for Isaac to recall his memories....

**********************************************
Po (Jack Black) is a panda who works in a noodle restaurant owned by his goose father Mr. Ping (James Hong). He is a kung fu fanatic with secret dreams of becoming a great master in the discipline. However, his weight and clumsiness seem to make his goal unattainable; Mr. Ping hopes instead that Po will one day take over the restaurant, and waits for the perfect opportunity to disclose the secret ingredient to his family's noodle recipe.
The
tortoise Master Oogway (Randall Duk Kim) has a premonition that the evil snow leopard warrior Tai Lung (Ian McShane), the former student of his own protégé, the red panda Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman), will escape from prison and return to threaten the Valley of Peace. While Shifu sends Zeng (Dan Fogler), a messenger goose, to Chorh-Gom Prison to have the security increased, Oogway orders a formal ceremony to choose the mighty Dragon Warrior who can defeat Tai Lung. Everyone assumes that one of the Furious Five — Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Monkey (Jackie Chan), Mantis (Seth Rogen), Viper (Lucy Liu), and Crane (David Cross) — a quintet of supremely skilled martial artists trained by Shifu,[4] will be chosen for this honor.
While the Five demonstrate their skills at the ceremony, Po arrives too late and finds himself locked outside the walled palace square. As a last-ditch attempt to get in, he ties several fireworks to a chair and ignites them, which sends him crashing into the center of the arena. Inspired by this sudden appearance, Oogway designates Po the Dragon Warrior. Despite Po's protests and Shifu's pleas to reconsider, Oogway stands by his decision.
Revolted at having Po under his tutelage, Shifu attempts to make him quit by berating and humiliating him. The Five similarly dismiss Po as a worthless interloper. Although he becomes aware of Shifu's true intentions and is deeply hurt by his heroes' disdain for him, Po endures their abuse willingly for the dream to become something more than the failure he thinks he is. Master Oogway, still certain that Po is the right choice, gives him sage advice to believe in himself. Eventually, Po endears himself to the Five (except for Tigress) with his tenacity, good cooking, and sense of humor. At this time Tigress reveals to Po how Tai Lung came to be so evil. Shifu raised him from a cub and treated him like a son. When Oogway refused to make Tai Lung the Dragon Warrior, he became enraged and laid waste to the Valley. He then tried to take the dragon scroll. Shifu tried to stop him, but could not bear to destroy what he had created. Tai Lung was defeated by Master Oogway and imprisoned. Tigress ends her story by saying that Shifu loved Tai Lung like he never had before, or since.
Meanwhile, Zeng's errand backfires when a tour of the prison given to him by the overly confident head of security, Commander Vachir (
Michael Clarke Duncan), inadvertently enables Tai Lung to escape. Tai Lung orders Zeng to send word of his arrival to Shifu. In the Valley of Peace, Oogway passes away and ascends to the heavens, leaving his final wish that Shifu train Po. However, upon learning of Tai Lung's return, and realizing that he has to face the evil warrior, Po attempts to flee. Shifu stops the panda and promises to train him if he is truly destined to be the Dragon Warrior. When Po confesses his belief that he may never be a match for Tai Lung, Shifu is at a loss for a solution. Overhearing this argument, Tigress takes it upon herself to intercept Tai Lung, and the rest of The Five follow her to assist. The following morning, Shifu discovers that Po is capable of impressive physical feats when motivated by food. He leads Po to the countryside for an intensive training regime in which Po is offered food as a reward for learning his lessons. As Shifu hopes, Po swiftly becomes a skilled combatant.
The Five battle Tai Lung but are eventually defeated with a specialized nerve-striking technique, and they retreat to the valley. When they return, Shifu decides Po is ready to face the villain and gives him the sacred Dragon Scroll, which promises great power to the possessor. When Po opens it, he finds nothing but a blank reflective surface. Stricken with despair at the scroll's apparent worthlessness, Shifu orders his students to lead the villagers to safety while he stays to delay Tai Lung for as long as he can.
As Po participates in the evacuation, he meets his father, who tries to cheer him up by telling him the secret ingredient of the family's noodle soup: nothing. Things become special, he explains, because people believe them to be special. Realizing that is the very point of the Dragon Scroll, Po rushes off to help Shifu. At this time, Tai Lung arrives at the palace. He blames Shifu for not granting him the title of Dragon Warrior just because Master Oogway did not choose him, and the two begin to fight. For his part, Shifu is crippled by his profound feelings of guilt and responsibility for his former protégé, whom he loved and raised like a son, turning to darkness.
When Tai Lung discovers that the Dragon Scroll is gone, he attempts to kill Shifu in anger. But before he can, Po finally arrives and challenges him. Although Tai Lung scoffs at Po's abilities, the ensuing fight proves Po to be a formidable opponent. Despite Po's skill, Tai Lung temporarily stuns him and gains the Dragon Scroll, but is unable to understand its symbolism. Po tries to explain the wisdom of the scroll to Tai Lung, but the frustrated leopard tries to subdue Po with his nerve strikes. The attack proves useless on the panda, as his nerves are difficult to find due to his body fat. Emboldened, Po counter-attacks with an improvised combat style that takes advantage of his girth to absorb and deflect the force from Tai Lung's attacks back at him. In the end, Po uses the Wuxi Finger Hold on Tai Lung (a technique Shifu had previously threatened to use on Po), defeating him in a large explosion of golden light that ripples through the valley.
The Five return to the valley to investigate and find a slightly dazed but triumphant Po. Deeply impressed by Po's victory, Tigress leads the Five to acknowledge him as a Kung Fu master. Po suddenly remembers that his teacher is badly wounded, and rushes back to Shifu. At first the master appears to be dying, and Po panics. But it turns out that he is only resting after such a terrible battle with Tai Lung.
At the end of the credits, Shifu and Po are seen eating together by the sacred peach tree. A peach seed planted by Shifu before Oogway's passing has sprouted into a new plant.

My little cute cute .......

Isaac, a very nice Christian name given by Siau Pei Yi Yi. Jer Ee is his name, we took quite some time to come out this name. A pretty big November baby (3.85kg) with small eyes like Japanese. He grew his first two teeth when he was 5 months old. Started his first step when he was about eleven months and could slowly walk after 1 year old. If you ask me when he starts to talk, unfortunately I could not remember. I just know that he called "Mummy" first and not "Daddy"... Yippee....I could not remember when he started to talk, but I knew I started sending him to music class (Yamaha Music Kids) when he was 2 years 4 months old. At that time, he already can sing and can follow instructions. He is the youngest student among all. People asked me, how you know he has interest on music. Honestly, I don’t know. Isaac requested many times, he wanted to go kindergarten, and I really unable to make arrangement on that due to my job require me to travel and I think it’s too young to go kindergarten at the age of 2. To fulfill his needs, I registered him for the music course which held once a week.

Time passed without realizing. Isaac is now a 4 years old boy. He is now a student of Little Lighthouse. Commented by principle (his English teacher), Isaac is a very attentive student, can pick up quite well in her class. Class assistant auntie says he is very talkative. She enjoys chatting with him after school while waiting for Auntie Fei Ma (transporter). Really thankful to god for bringing this wonderful child into my life. He is my everything. He accompanies me when his daddy not in town; we talk everything; we share our happiness and sadness…

My life is joyful and splendid with the present of these child … I LOVE YOU
