Skytrex-Adventure (Taman Pertanian Malaysia)

Family outing to Taman Pertanian Malaysia was last minute decision. Why TPM? The entrance is very much cheaper compare with Genting Highland, besides, it's a good opportunity for kids in city to get closer to the nature.

Just some brief description on the park. TPM is an agricultural park with wide variety of attractions such as Four Seasons House, Cactus Farm, Animal Farm, Padi Field, Star Fruits Farm and etc. In TPM, you can also enjoy activities like cycling (bicycle rental shop available), PaintBall, Fishing and also camping. I am not going to describe further about TPM but keen to write more about one of the organized outdoor ‘eco-recreational cum educational’ activity - Skytrex Adventure. This park is located inside TPM, you need to take the in-house shuttle bus as it is located 3 kilometers into the forest.

Look at this two boys, they are so brave, I really admire thier courageousness. They dare to take up the challenges and complete almost all the 15 adventure games, from easy to difficult.

Isaac and his cousin with all the safety equipment on and ready for the challenges.

They were paying attention on the instruction given and tried to practice it.

Climbed up the ladder with full confidence.

Remove and hook the pulley.

Hold the pulley tightly and move slowly on the string.

If the kid is tall enough, he can hold the upper string to stablize the body. Unfortunately Isaac can't reach the upper string, he needs to depend on the pulley to stand firmly on the string. Mummy was sweating along the way (@_^).

Yes, Isaac did it finally. Can see his face is full of proud. (^_^)

Look at the height, it's scary especially to a kid. But no worry and no hurry, walk slowly, you can do it for sure. (*_*)

"I am scare, but I will not easily give up."

Forgot to mention, pre-booking is required to play the game. But you can still try on your luck, if the participant is not full, you will stand a chance to play, just like us.

Trip to Tanjung Sepat

Last Saturday was Birthday of SPB Yang di-Pertuan Agong, we have one day trip to Tanjung Sepat. This place is quite far from KL, it's about 1.5 hours drive. That place is famous with seafood Bakuteh and sold out very fast. To avoid disappointment, we set out at around 7:15am, just like working day (*_0).

Once we have our car parked at Auntie Amanda's colleague's (Ms. Ho) house, we went for the seafood bakuteh. There are two restaurant selling this dish, one visited by '阿贤' and the other one visited by '阿鸿'. We tried the 2nd one. According to Ms. Ho, both have thier own specialities. Maybe they over described it and I also put high expectation, so I am a bit disappointed. But overall, the taste is OK. If got chance, we will try the 1st restaurant.

Before we proceed to Ganoderma Lucidum farm (灵芝), we have a cup of coffee, pau and fish ball. Tg Sepat 'Pau' is well-known, that restaurant visited by Hong Kong famous eater- Tou Tou. We placed order after eating the 'Meat Pau','Mui Choy Pau' and 'Red Bean Pau'. The order queue was too long, we need to wait until 7pm, fortunately Ms. Ho can collect for us. Nothing much at Ganoderma Lucidum farm, but I still snap few photos of several types of 'mushroom'.

After GL farm, we went to a fishing village to get some fresh and cheap seafood. Some of us didn't buy any, so we have a walk behind people's house. It's Isaac first time visiting place like this, althought Sabak Bernam is also near to harbor. Lots of fishing boat anchor beside the old bridge and you can see plenty of colourful crabs, big and small, crawling on the mud.

Our next destination was Longan farm. Unfortunately the timing is not right, all longan sold out and new batch on longan was still on the way. So we didn't stop long there, just walked into around to see longan tree. Plucking longan is strictly prohibited.

Final destination was seafood lunch. While waiting for vacant table, Isaac and I have a walked at the jetty. The jetty is quite long, Isaac insisted to walk to the end. Few Malay people were fishing.

The trip is really tiring as we walked alot under the hot sun, but it is a nice outing.

Picnic at Waterfall

Each time reading 'The Nature' book, I can only tell Isaac what is waterfall, how it looks like. Althought he nodded, but I believe that he cannot imagine. I have the thought to bring Isaac to waterfall, it is better to see for oneself rather than to hear for many times, agree? So I list 'Picnic at Waterfall' as one of my outing activity. A cheap family activity yet everyone enjoy, why not right?

If you wish to get closer to the nature, understand the nature, talk to the nature, waterfall is always an idea place. It is claimed as the place which has the highest natural ionizer.

After a family discussion, we decided to go Rawang waterfall instead of Ulu Yam. How lucky we are, the weather was just nice for outing, with the sun shinning up in the sky. Attached photos can tell how fun was it. Everyone enjoy the outing. Thanks YiYi for recommanding such good place.

There is another waterfall up there where most of the people will not go as need to walk a distance. Luckily we have 'Storm' to bring us up. To get down to the waterfall, we need a rope, and Ah Chiung (Uncle) has everything prepared. Such an adventure outing :P The place is shaded by trees and we occupied the whole area.

Everyone was hungry when think of Kakak's speciality - fried meehoon and YiYi's fried chicken. Besides, we have nuggets, sausages, sandwiches and ribena.

Reading newspaper with fresh air blowing on the face is so relaxing. Kids have fun building sand castle.

Isaac enjoy riding on the float.

The water splashed on our body, is like a nature jacuzzi.

Ohh... Ah Siang GuGu knows how to enjoy the nature so much. He took a short nap!!!!
